At lease 24 hours prior to your removal, its important that you clear out your fridge and defrost it. Keep the items which are non-perishable, as these will last a while. Additionally, once the refrigerator has defrosted, do make sure that you give it a thorough cleaning. Removal all the shelving units.
- The Dishwasher
Again, as mentioned in previous point, at least 24 hours, make sure that you do not use the dishwasher, instead allow it to air out and allow all pipes to dry, as this prevents any leakages of water. Make sure that all rails are taken out, and packed seperatley.

If your stove is a electric one. its very easy to disconnect, make sure that you have the manual with you as a precaution. If your stove is a gas stove, this can be a little tricky, as a precaution follow the manual step by step, or ask for a technician to come do it for you safely.
- Washing Machines and Tumble Dryers
As we have mentioned a few times already, make sure to consult with the users manual. Make sure that all pipes are disconnected properly of all the taps, secure the drums correctly.
Otherwise once you have disconnected your appliances, do make sure that all plugs are secured correctly, and all doors are strapped so that nothing will “swing” open.
